Terra Carver is the Executive Director of the Humboldt County Growers Alliance in California.  The alliance acts to preserve, protect and enhance Humboldt County’s world-renowned cannabis industry.  Legalization has meant that growers have become business people, state agencies set themselves up, and all parties involved are building together for growth.   Industry trade associations and local & state government have learned to coordinate.   The industry adapted to licensing,  taxation and rapid market changes.   Education and grass roots organizing played a role in small businesses grabbing a footing to survive from seed to sale.
