Planned Vote on the MORE Act
Morgan Fox is the Media Relations Director for the National Cannabis Industry Association. He joins us to discuss the congressional vote on the MORE Act next week. This bill is planned for a vote next week. It would remove cannabis from the scheduled controlled substances and clear a pathway for expungement of anyone charged with a federal cannabis crime. It would also create funds for reinvestment in communities most harmed by the war on drugs and create programs to make it easier for disenfranchised communities to get involved with the cannabis industry. This will be the first time that a legalization bill has either come to the floor for a vote or passed.
