The cannabis industry expects to see a 40% increase in sales, also stronger than expected. Mr. Regan offers analysis of what has happened in the cannabis markets this year and contributes to forecasts for US and Canadian markets in the coming year. He addresses specific market variables in his forecasts. Listen in for his assessments.
What Legalization Means to States
John Kagia works at New Frontier Data as the Chief Knowledge Officer. For this interview he calls in from Africa to talk about recent US ballot issues on cannabis. States have had a historic election, as well as a consequential elections for cannabis. Legalizing states had medical initiatives and approval for recreational use on the ballots that passed by comfortable vote counts. New Jersey announced that it may approve adult use in as little as 30 days after passage and its market will become dramatically larger. Since the COVID pandemic has crunched economies across the nation, additional revenues that legalization will bring, will be a welcome relief to some states. As more states approve the use of cannabis, more states are likely to follow.
