Direct to Medical Consumer Marketing and Shipping in Canada
Brent Zettl is President and CEO of Zyus Life Sciences, a company focused on advancing the science of wellbeing. His company attained revolutionary rights for selling and shipping cannabis in Canada. They are now able to sell online and mail products directly to medical marijuana users, by prescription. This avoids the need for traditional dispensaries. Dispensaries cater largely to recreational users, but Zyus offers prescribed cannabis product for true medical application. Differences lie in recreational versus medical products. For instance, a much smaller amount is cannabis needed for medical treatment, whereas, the amount of cannabis consumed for recreational use would be an overdose medically. Aphria-Tilray Merger Creates the World’s Largest Cannabis Company!
Irwin Simon is Chairman & CEO @ Aphria Inc., Executive Chairman of Whole Earth Brands, Inc. and Presiding Director of MDC Partners Inc. He joins the host of America’s Cannabis Conversation to discuss the colossal merger of two of the biggest marijuana companies in Canada, Tilray and Aphria. In so doing, they are creating the largest cannabis company in the world. It will operate with the ‘Tilray’ name with combined assets of $3.9 billion, and trade under the “TLRY” ticker on Nasdaq. These merging companies already market to Canada and Europe, and now, the new super company is targeting the largest marijuana consumption market in the world, the United States. In order to export to the US, however, federal laws that prohibit cannabis must change. Prospects for that look good under the new presidential administration.
